For businesses that need to be managed actively, we prefer Greater Houston, Greater
Dallas, Greater Austin, and San Antonio Areas. For tech-based businesses, we would like something we
can operate remotely.
EBITDA – We are looking for EBITDA in the range of $500k-$1.5M.
We are self-funded and can raise capital with our network for equity. For Debt structuring, we are looking for a deal with seller financing in addition to a traditional SBA 7a loan.
We prefer the industries in the order described below since the order describes the
value add we can bring to the table.
- Information Technology- with a strong inclination towards SAAS, consulting, infrastructure
for IT industries.
- Electrical engineering – Services and consulting firms with contracts with utilities (at least
75%) or govt entities
- Accounting and Bookkeeping businesses – preferably some staff footprint outside USA
- Services – HVAC, Waste Management and Plumbing industries
- Manufacturing – Firms which have direct contracts with Govt agencies, airlines etc.
- Low Customer concentration
- We want the business to have positive cash flow with at least 5+ years of history.
- No Key personnel risk
- Seller willing to help with transition
Operations: We will be actively running the business day to day. In a few years, we would ideally like to promote someone internally to run this business.
Long-term plans: We want to build a Holdco, but we strongly believe in doing things methodically and meticulously. As such our short-term criteria are to acquire a good business, add value, and achieve significant growth.
